11 Dec 2021 (Coney Island + Lorong Halus Wetland)
Highlight: Outdoor & Adventure MeetUp Group had managed to complete a long 10km walk starting from Punggol through Coney Island +Lorong Halus Wetland). It was a tiring but fulfilling experience.
During this time, Singapore Covid situation is in stabilisation phase, which several restrictions had being released. At this date, we are allowed to gather in a group of 5 for event (Fully vaccinated Personnel only).
Under Meetup, we organised non-profitable event and our aims are to gather people together to enjoy the fun with safety measure (mask is on as far as possible and no intermix of different groups).
In this event, we have a total of 20 participants. We are divided into 4 groups, (4 participants + 1 mini leaders.)
Event Outline
The event was held in Punggol at 4pm in the evening. It was a cool and breezy weather with slight drizzling, the weather is still ok to proceed. We breakup into 4 groups and slowly walk to Coney Island
Inside the Coney Island, we spot many different plant and flower, but I am able to spot a "pork chop" in front of me along the way.
Then we reach a point that is under construction and need to U-turn back. Lucky it is just a segment in "going stern" and not the whole stretch of roads back to the entrance
We manage to exit Coney Island and continue to walk to our destination
Aftera tiring 3hr+ , more than 10km walk, we finally able to sit down at around 7pm and had our rewarding meal. Although we are not having our dinner together, we still share our "food" at least online here.
Me as a host and participant, I greatly treasure the moment and time that we had together. We will always see each other in the future.
Very often the memory is not captured when the event is passed in the meetup.
